The last remaining development site within Edinburgh’s financial district, The Exchange, this property was identified by Corran Properties for acquisition by Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
Corran was retained as Development Manager on behalf of SWIP resulting in the granting of planning permission in August 2014 for a stunning grade A office and retail building designed by Michael Laird Architects. The building will provide 10,000 sq ft of open class, retail accommodation on the ground floor with frontage to Lothian Road, Fountainbridge and Semple Street. Above this will be five floors of offices extending to 35,000 sq ft with stunning views of Edinburgh’s iconic skyline from the fifth floor.
SWIP sold the asset with the benefit of planning permission in 2015.
